Introducing Our Super Moon

Over the past few days there has been talk of a super moon that would be visible the night before last. Yes, yes, I really should have posted this yesterday, but I was busy with my new book, so better late than never, right?

Well, to get back to this moon that was supposed to be super. I do not understand what the fuss was about. In the image above, the street light was more impressive than the moon. What did intrigue me though was the mini moon evident above and to the right of the moon / star.

In this next image, the mini moon seems to have shifted and is now almost right above the so called super moon. I'd love to know more about this mini moon.

As for the super moon. Well I have seen the moon in the night sky that looked much larger than this one did. In any event, here are my two efforts at photographing what was visible.

Did you take a look at the moon? Was it large? Was it any different? What made it so super?

Have a very blessed day

Appreciating Israel and the Natural Beauty

Tree outside Kever Rachel

Today was a day for appreciating Israel. Where else in the world can you spend your birthday visiting and Davening at such a special and Holy Place?

These trees were photographed when admiring the view on the return from Kever Rachel. The window was blurry and the bus was moving, hence the trees are light and probably a little out of focus, but the image is beautiful all the same.

The Landscape is just glorious. Such stunning rambling hills.

A ruin in the middle but it does not spoil the picture, not at all, it reminds us that there is building to be done and work in order for all Yidden to return to the Land where we belong

I love these trees and the contrast of the geography. Notice the beautiful blue sky, it's supposed to be winter going into spring but the day was just perfect.

The images above for me are a reminder of what is special about being in Eretz Yisrael. What a perfect way to refocus and reconnect to the purpose of creation and in deed of every Jew.

May you all enjoy the most special day. If you have not yet come home, what is keeping you from returning? If you are here in Eretz Yisrael, do you take the time to appreciate the special land G-d gave to us?

What do you enjoy doing for your birthday? Where do you like to go?

Hope your day is very special. With blessings

On the Road from Rehovot to Yerushalayim

Last week we had the fun of traveling to Rehovot. I was a bit slow in taking photo's I do apologise, but here are two pics of the beautiful countryside seen on the return from Rehovot to Yerushalayim. Actually, there were fields with green, but it was not easy to get to the other side of the bus to photograph. Oh well, it gives something to do on the next trip. In the meantime, enjoy these few pics.

Beautiful country side. The beauty of Israel is certainly one of the BIG positives of living in the Holy Land of Eretz Yisrael.
